Counting Down to BlastOff

Thirteen and a half hours to go!! It is now midnight, all bags are packed and waiting at the front door, and we have finally stopped for the day. It seemed like a really good idea of mine to get our timber floors polished while we were away, while no children are underfoot and the polish can set. I did underestimate though the extra work that made for Ross in the days preceding our departure of having to empty the library, kitchen, dining room and lounge area!

Only two heart-stopping moments: as we packed the passports in our carry on luggage I came across the green immigration cards the travel agent suggested we fill out before we got to the airport…so fill them out we did at 11.45pm. Then feeling accomplished I asked Ross had he packed the Disneyland passes. Another excellent idea I had was to preorder them (as they were cheaper to buy online here) AND get them delivered so we could get excited about the tangible entry pass in our hands. Of course, that excitement diminishes when you can’t find where you have stored them for safekeeping!! A house devoid of most furniture and clothes packed does make for a much quicker search though – the passes are found and we can sleep easy!

I am finally allowing myself to get excited…;)
